Raj V. Kakarlapudi, M.D.
Dr. Raj V. Kakarlapudi completed his pre-medicine requirements at Creighton University, and went on to earn his M.D. from the School of Medicine at Creighton University. In 2004, he was awarded the William J. Albano Award for outstanding research activity. After completing medical school in 2004, he was accepted into the accredited orthopaedic surgery residency program at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Kakarlapudi did a spine fellowship at Indiana Orthopedic Hospital, also known as OrthoIndy Spine. At OrthoIndy, Dr. Kakarlapudi was trained in the latest percutaneous and minimally invasive spine surgery procedures, along with image guided spine navigation for spine surgery.
He joined Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers' Spine Division in September 2010 and is currently medical director of the Spine Center at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Florence.
