Born in Covington, Kentucky, Dr. Michael A. Grefer received his B.S. degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and his M.D. degree from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Cincinnati General Hospital. He was certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in September, 1978 and became a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons in October, 1981.
Dr. Grefer is on staff at the St. Elizabeth Medical Centers, and the St. Luke Hospitals. He has served as past President of the Medical Staff at St. Luke Hospital. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, the Northern Kentucky Medical Society, and the Freiberg Society.
Dr. Grefer has a special interest in the treatment of neck and spinal disorders and total joint replacements.
